Day 5: Science and Innovation

The summit dialogue with Mr Carl Baptista was very engaging and insightful. Through what he shared, it seemed like he’s a person in constant thought. Coupled with a funny persona, he was a very interesting speaker and I gained a lot from today’s dialogue. I learnt how science is very important and relevant to the current society and how the understanding of science and ability to manifest the understanding into application makes a person a very valuable and useful member of society.

Also, at A*Star, I was really impressed with the Radio-Frequency Identification technological advancements in Singapore, and found the tracking chip for homework really cool. This kinda showed me how whatever I’m learning right now would one day (hopefully) be able to allow me to have the capacity to make a contribution to society in future.
