Day 5 Scanned

After another early wake-up, this morning we were thoroughly entertained in our third summit dialogue, given by scientist/businessman Carl Baptista. He brought a great deal of humour, energy and enthusiasm to proceedings, and I think that all students learnt a lot about the importance of innovation and perseverance in business.

We then visited the Housing & Development Board, which was a very valuable and insightful experience. I was thoroughly impressed by the heavily subsidised housing system, and think that lessons could be learned from this efficient system in the UK.

Afterwards, all of the students were treated to a tour of A* STAR research facilities and talks by current employees. Despite not being a science student, I found all of the experience that they offered inspiring and useful.
